With spring in the air we have started work on projects around the house again. We spruced up the planter area on our patio with some river rock (to keep the dogs from digging), palms (drought resistant) and stones to fill in a dead portion of the lawn (that was essentially a mud pit). Unfortunately, we didn't take a before picture, but I can tell you it wasn't pretty. Most importantly, Laith installed Layla's swing. She loves to be outside with us... and to be silly with Daddy (video below).

Our rose bushes are going crazy!
This beautiful rose bush in our front yard has a sweet history. It was planted by the first owner of our home as a gift for his wife. Sixty five years later - its fragrance still fills the air on the way to our front door and its full roses are glowing with life.
